About

Laura Alston is a Caribbean American director and photographer who uses traditional and emerging mediums to highlight unsung narratives. With interests in travel & culture, her aim is to immortalize narratives in a way that empowers and archives the history of marginalized communities.

Earning a visual art degree from Ivy League institution Columbia University and supplemental education at Central Saint Martins and London College of Communication, Laura developed holistic skills that allow her to cultivate work across disciplines.

Laura’s dedication to highlighting unsung narratives, often discovered through traveling, has earned her honors at the Puffin Foundation, exhibitions at the Studio Museum in Harlem, Tate Britain, Columbia University and a solo exhibition exploring her journey of identity at the Okay Space gallery in Brooklyn.

With a natural interest in Business & Marketing, Laura climbed the ranks in the Music & Entertainment industry to become Marketing Manager for respected media company Okayplayer and Creative Director at ad agency Adolescent Content. Currently she runs her own creative agency Artfullyours where she provides innovative solutions for clients across the globe.
